EDUCAST, The ‘Tech X 2024’ exhibition, organized by Softwarica College of IT and E-Commerce, concluded successfully, showcasing enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. The exhibition, which began on July 30, featured a variety of technological projects ranging from Artificial Intelligence (AI) to robotics, highlighting the innovation and talent of the college’s students.

According to College Principal Pramod Poudel, the exhibition included projects focused on robotics, AI, and cybersecurity. These projects, developed by undergraduate students, attracted notable interest from students, corporate professionals, and the general public. Among the highlights were an AI-powered robotic dog, AI assistant robots for library and airport management, and semi-automated warehouse management systems. Visitors also had the chance to observe a robotic teacher and an advanced AI gun system, alongside projects analyzing password cracking techniques.

The exhibition displayed over 30 projects, including a banking assistant, tour guide robots, an AI assistant for eye hospitals, robotic waiters, and the highly anticipated ‘Robo Warriors League 2024.’ The college announced plans to organize the Robo Warriors League within a few months, with more than 40 robots representing various companies participating in a battle competition.

The event aimed to provide students with practical knowledge about how the IT sector can transform industries, offering insights into the unique opportunities this field presents. Softwarica College Chairman Bijaya Shrestha emphasized that exhibitions like ‘Tech X’ are vital in helping students understand the importance of studying IT. He noted that IT is increasingly appealing to Nepali students because it offers the potential to work globally with competitive pay, even from Nepal.

Shrestha further suggested that with the right policies, Nepal could be developed into an IT hub. He expressed confidence that the government’s focus on attracting large IT investments could lead to substantial development within one or two decades.

The exhibition, which ran from July 30 to August 5, was open to the public daily from 10 AM to 5 PM, offering free entry for all technology enthusiasts.
