EDUCAST, In a landmark educational initiative, Career Lifters facilitated a dynamic outreach program that brought representatives from some of India’s leading universities and colleges to ten schools and colleges across Kathmandu. The delegation engaged with Nepali students and educators, providing insights into higher education opportunities in India while strengthening cross-border educational ties.
The team also participated in the Destination INDIA TV Show, hosted by Jupiter Media, where they discussed their institutions’ offerings, the value of Indian higher education, and opportunities for Nepalese students.
The delegation featured representatives from Chanakya University, United University, and Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science, along with Career Lifters’ Managing Director, Rahul Sachdeva, who organized and guided the program.
Bengaluru-based Chanakya University is celebrated for its innovative academic programs and commitment to holistic education. Representing the university were Suresh Raju K A, Senior Manager of Value-Added Programs and Outreach, and Deepak Raj Pandaya, Assistant Professor at the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
Suresh Raju K A highlighted the university’s focus on value-added programs that prepare students for global challenges while preserving cultural relevance. He emphasized interdisciplinary learning and skill development during interactive sessions with students and educators. Suresh Raju K A is an Entrepreneur, who combines multiple talents with the intent of making a difference to people’s lives. Having an M.S in Psychotherapy and Counselling and Masters in Labor Management with specialization in HR. His Entrepreneurship ventures include Sowmini Graaphics, The Design Quotient, GLIDE Learning and Development Private Limited, Perhance Technologies, Cope Café, Unleash the AIM.
He is currently working on his dream project Cope Café – an initiative of Perhance Technologies – which aims at counselling, coaching and training the youth to empower themselves and become Self Reliant, ensure to create a Happy Society through Happy People. He works closely with Development Sector Organizations with Projects focused in the areas of Education and Livelihood.
Suresh is a very passionate Trainer in Leadership, Management and Soft Skills. He has trained Corporates in India and Qatar. He is also a proclaimed trainer and resource facilitator for Motivational Trainings for the Students in College and Schools. He has been a Resource Facilitator for the UNICEF project for Karnataka State Police Department, where he has trained over 4000 Police personnel across Karnataka. He has been a Resource Facilitator for Karnataka Health Promotion Trust Projects representing US-AID and TB Alert. In both Projects he has contributed right for content development to Train the Trainers.
Deepak Raj Pandaya, an expert in humanities and social sciences, inspired students with his discussions on critical thinking and the role of the liberal arts in creating well-rounded professionals.
Representing United University, located in Prayagraj, was Dr. Chanten Vyas, Dean of Planning and Development and a senior faculty member in the Department of Computer Science.
Dr. Vyas, a noted academic in artificial intelligence and software development, engaged students with insights into emerging trends in technology. He highlighted United University’s state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge research, and international collaboration opportunities for Nepalese students. United University, one of the best university in Allahabad (Prayagraj), is a newly emerging, multidisciplinary and one of the most promising Universities set up to facilitate quality research and training with the launch of its courses across the academic spectrum spanning Arts, Sciences, Commerce, Engineering, Management, Agriculture, Mass Communication etc. United University is at the forefront of learning, teaching and research in various fields and envisages providing education par excellence and contributing towards empowering the nation by producing skilled professionals.
From Coimbatore, Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science brought Dr. D. Santhanakrishnan and Dr. N. Mahendiran, both Admission Coordinators and esteemed scholars.
Dr. Santhanakrishnan introduced the college’s research-driven curriculum and industry-oriented programs, showcasing success stories of its alumni.
Dr. Mahendiran emphasized the institution’s focus on personalized mentorship and skill development, discussing its strengths in commerce, management, and technology.
Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts & Science (Formerly SNR Sons College) is a renowned co- educational Arts & Science college which carries excellence as its tradition. The College is situated at the heart of the city, Coimbatore. It has a beautiful campus sprawling over an area of 15.9 acres with excellent infrastructure. The college was started in the year 1987. It is affiliated to Bharathiar University. The representatives also shared success stories of Nepali students studying in India and highlighted efforts to ensure cultural assimilation, academic excellence, and career readiness. Rahul Sachdeva, Managing Director of Career Lifters, moderated insightful exchanges, emphasizing the importance of educational collaboration between India and Nepal.
During their week-long visit to Kathmandu, the team engaged with hundreds of students and educators through workshops, counseling sessions, and interactive activities. They provided in-depth guidance on navigating admission processes, accessing scholarships, and making informed decisions about higher education in India.
The initiative was well-received, with Nepali educators expressing their appreciation for the exposure provided to students. Many described the visit as a pivotal step toward building lasting academic and cultural connections between the two nations.
