A seminar titled Interaction about Nepalese Diaspora in Western Australia was organized to discuss and inform about the presence and development of Nepalis in Perth city. The program was jointly organized by NRNA Western Australia, Nepalese Association in Western Australia (NAWA) and Jupiter Media.
The program was organized to share the experience of Nepalese held at Himalayan Nepalese Restaurant and Cafe. Sunil Acharya, Managing Director of Jupiter Media and Director of Destination Australia, wished all the dignitaries present at the event. Acharya also shed light on the objectives of the Destination Australia program.
Speaking at the discussion program, Dr. Basu Regmi, president of Nepalese Association in Western Australia, highlighted the achievements and development of the Nepalese community in Western Australia. Similarly, giving information about the Nepali culture, language and temples in Perth, Nabin Bhandari, the principal of the Pathshala School, said that he has started teaching Nepali language for Nepali children. He informed about Nepali language and cultural activities. Similarly, Bhairav Dhakal, the former coordinator of NRNA Western Australia, who has been living in Perth for a long time, shared his experiences and achievements.
Kedar Rizal, the former coordinator of NRNA Australia informed that at a time when Australia is giving high priority to social development, various Nepali communities are developing in Western Australia, especially in Perth. He also informed that various Nepali speaking communities from different parts of Nepal gather here and celebrate their festivals.
Samaj Bhandari, Perth Branch Manager of Expert Education and Visa Services informed that Nepali students have studied well, received scholarships and achieved excellent positions in educational institutions such as Curtin University, Murdoch University, Edith Cowan University, and Southern Cross University in Western Australia.
Visa Hub Education Director Sampanna Ghimire, Suraj Aryal of KVA Global Perth, Subodh Dhakal of VEVS Global, Accounting Professional Pradip Baniya, Nurse Radha Baniya, Bipindra Chaudhary of Expert Education and Visa Services, Yam KC of Everest Global Education and Visa, Madhav Dhungana, advisor of NRNA WA were present in the program.
In the discussion, NRNA Western Australia Coordinator Deepak Basnet concluded the program by discussing the role played by NRNA during the Covid pandemic, the achievements of Nepalis in several sectors. He also thanked Jupiter Media and Destination Australia Television team for exploring the development of Nepalese Diaspora in Western Australia.
