ECAN holds 17th Annual General Meeting

KATHMANDU: The Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN) has held its 17th Annual General Meeting.

The was meeting held at the Soaltee Hotel in the capital. Minister without portfolio Damodar Bhandari was the Chief Guest while Suprabhat Bhandari, President, Federation of Guardian’s Association in Nepal was the special guest of the event.

Speaking at the program, President of ECAN Prakash Pandey welcomed everyone and presented the progress report of the organization. He urged the government to make new policies to facilitate stakeholders so that they could add value to the education system of the country.

Speaking at the program, Minister Damodar Bhandari assured that the government will bring policies in the coming days to ensure that students would get the best quality learning process in the country and abroad.

Arun Lamichhane ECAN Past Presidential Council Member, Rajendra Baral, ECAN Past Presidential Council Coordinator, Subin Bajracharya Head of operations of British Council, Hemanta Bhattarai President IEEREN, Basu Nepal, President FECON and Ramesh Devkota, General Secretary, JALAN expressed their best wishes to ECAN and believed that collaboration of all stakeholders will bring fruitful result in the education sector of Nepal.

Likewise, the President of NRNA Dr Badri KC said that the association has been working with several concerned policymakers and authorities in Nepal and abroad to assist Nepalese students who are seeking careers in other countries.

Nabaraj Kafle, President of Parents Association of Nepalese Students Abroad said the government should come up with the best policies to end the ongoing gap in the abroad study sectors.

Anton Maslov, Director of Russian Culture House said the Russian government always welcomes international students and is committed to facilitating them in any case.

The event was attended by representatives of ECAN and other education-related organizations.
