The 4th Annual General Meeting of NECA held successfully

    EDUCAST, Kathmandu, January 7. The 4th Annual General Meeting of the National Educational Consulting Association (NECA) was held successfully at Radisson hotel in Lazimpat, Kathmandu.

     

    The annual progress report, the annual financial report and the upcoming work plan were approved by the majority of the general meeting and the new working committee was unanimously formed.

     

    The working committee is formed selecting Santosh Pyakurel as chairman, Bhupendra Sitaula and Raman Koirala as vice-chairmen, Deepak Koirala as general secretary, Pradhumna Bogti and Subhendra Thapa as secretaries, Rabindra Thapa as treasurer and Surya Pokhrel, Pratiksha Shrestha, Trilochan Adhikari, Kamala Basnet, Dhrub Thapa, Keshab Simkhada and Ashok Bhandari as members.

     

    Felicity Volk, the Australian ambassador to Nepal was the chief guest of the program similarly the president of the Nepal Parents’ Association Suprabhat Bhandari, representatives of the British Council, representatives of IDP IELTS, and representatives of various educational consulting associations were included as the guests. The chief guest and guests wished success to the new working committee.

    Representatives from Australian colleges, Job Training Institute, Key to Learning College, Kingston Institute Australia, Blue Lotus College, AABT College, SCCM, CIM, Study Group, SABT College, McAllen College and VIE College including other representatives were present at the event. representatives of Adventas, Agentix, Sichuan Airlines etc. were also present at the program.

     

    The National Educational Counseling Association (NECA) is the leading umbrella organization of educational counseling organizations which has been raising its voice against the distortions and contradictions seen in society following rules and regulations by providing proper counseling for students who are going to study abroad.

     

    NECA supports and facilitates students who have gone to study abroad in their difficult situations, and interacts with students and parents regarding foreign studies, under its social responsibility. Besides that, NECA trains and interacts with its member organizations, and strongly raises its voice against the distortions of foreign colleges and their representatives.

    That is why many educational consulting organizations have been involved in NECA Within a short time period of establishment.
