EDUCAST, Machhapuchchhre IB World School has completed Machhapuchchhre Annual Sports Meet -2023 at Shree Rajdal Gan (Physical and Sports Centre of Nepali Army) Lagankhel, Lalitpur on 19th February 2023 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Annual Sports program was filled with numerous sports and fun activities.
Machhapuchchhre IB World School being the school for change makers frequently organizes such extra activities for the overall development of students helping them to become responsible, independent, critical and creative.
Machhapuchchhre IB World School family, representatives of different organizations, parents and other related persons were present to enjoy sports and fun activities.
In that program, Private and Residential School Organization Nepal, Central Committee Chairman D.K. Dhungana was present as the chief guest and National Private and Residential School Organization Nepal, Central Committee Co-Chairman Subas Newpane was present as the special guest.
Different competitions in athletics were held in various categories considering track and field as part of the sports week. Similarly, competitions were held in 28 categories including Kabaddi, Futsal, Badminton, Taekwondo, Chess and others.
Sampurna Devapate, Principal of the school informed the guests and parents about the sports meet along with the welcome speech at the event.
Addressing the program, Chief Guest Dhungana said that the school has managed to organize various student-centered activities and competitions within a short period of its operation. Similarly, the special guest Newpane expressed his gratitude for the work done by the school to create the necessary environment for the students by taking sports as a part of education and making education and sports complementary to each other.
The Chairman of the program and the chairman of the school management committee Dr. Vinod Prasad Yadav said that education and sports are equally important as sports are essential for not only education but also for physical and mental development. The school distributed medals to the winners of various competitions.
Students, teachers and staff representing different houses performed attractive march passes, dancing and singing in the program.
