Demand of extensive reforms in the foreign study approval guidelines- 2079

EDUCAST- Extensive reforms in the foreign study approval guidelines- 2079 has been demanded by Nepal Communist Party (Maobadi Kendra) Valley Special Province Educational Consulting Branch. The committee is of the opinion that the provisions in this guideline are still detrimental to the interests of students going to study abroad.
This demand was made by the Valley Special Province Educational Consultancy Branch by holding a press conference in Kathmandu on Thursday. Also, the branch has expressed its happiness that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal revised the foreign study approval guidelines, 2079 after their pressure.
The secretary of the branch, Bhavnath Humagai, mentioned that the practice of going to study abroad is common and it is the natural right of any citizen to get quality education at their own expense. He further mentioned that this provision in the guidelines favors financially well-off students and deprives poor students of their rights. He demanded that two percent of education services be used for the welfare of students and establishment of a welfare fund.
Secretary Humagai demanded the repeal of the Ministry of Education’s regulation on language teaching and consulting services, which is in the interest of the marginalized businessmen, including the bond, with the aim of making business syndicates to benefit the big businessmen and fleeing the small and medium businessmen.
Branch president Yuvraj Katuwal answered the questions raised by media persons in the press conference.
