During its field study, the Destination Australia team of Jupiter Media recently visited Melbourne Campus of Brighton College to observe and document the institute’s infrastructure and educational environment.

Melbourne Campus of Brighton College is located at Queen Street in CBD. Brighton College is an Australian Registered Training Organization (RTO) operating under the National Vocational Education and Training (VET) Quality Framework (VQF). It was first registered to provide educational services in 2016 and extended its educational services to International Students in 2017 in Brisbane, Queensland. It has maintained registration with the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) to offer services to international student visa holders.

Brighton College delivers Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualifications drawn from Australian National Training Packages and is recognized within Australia and international sectors. National Training Package qualification is developed by Skills Service Organizations in consultation with industry bodies, regulators, training providers, and other stakeholders. Brisbane Campus at Anderson Street, Fortitude Valley, Melbourne Campus at Queen Street, Melbourne, and Tasmania Campus at Murray Street, Hobart are three campuses of Brighton College.

Amar Raj Acharya, The Campus Manager of the Brighton College Melbourne Campus, said that the campus follows the curriculum given by the Australian Government using experienced faculties’. He explained practical-based teaching, work-based training (WBT), job placement, etc. provided by the campus. He suggested cultural awareness, language improvement, and fundamental training related to the selected field for international students, especially Nepali students.

Nihal Silva, Trainer of Melbourne Campus expressed his happiness to be among the majority of Nepali students and shared his experience in hospitality and cookery.

Thanuri Seneviratne, Student Experience Officer of the Melbourne Campus explained her responsibilities and the information and support provided by the campus to the related students.

Priyantha Seneviratne Head Trainer of the Melbourne Campus described qualified trainers in a well-equipped cookery class on the campus. He also pointed out the scopes and opportunities of cookery.

Mahendra Sapkota studying Commercial Cookery in Melbourne Campus justified why Melbourne Campus is the best for hospitality students.  Pramit Lamichhane, other student said that Melbourne Campus is excellent for him. He gave valuable suggestions for new students.
