Nepali Agriculture Students Remembered in Candlelight Vigil after Tragic Hamas Attack in Israel

EDUCAST, In a solemn ceremony held at Swayambhu in Kathmandu, a candlelight vigil and condolence program paid tribute to the memory of Nepali agriculture students who lost their lives in a devastating attack by Hamas in Israel. The heartfelt gathering, organized by the Nepal Agricultural Machinery Association, served as both a commemoration of the fallen students and a fervent wish for global peace. The event was attended by representatives from the association and members of Shalom Kvala, who joined in expressing their condolences.

A total of 10 Nepali students, who had ventured to Israel as part of the ‘Learn and Earn’ program, tragically perished in the Hamas attack, leaving their families, friends, and the nation in mourning.

Prior to this poignant event, a similar candlelight vigil was held in memory of the departed students at Boudhanath, signifying the profound impact of this tragedy on the community.
