EDUCAST, The Korea Educational Consultancy Association Nepal (KECAN) organized a dynamic Study in Korea Information Session and Agent Meet Program at Nepal House in Hattisar, Kathmandu, on April 5th. The event brought together a diverse array of stakeholders interested in fostering educational collaborations between Nepal and South Korea.
Under the esteemed hospitality of Rudra Prasad Sharma, a founding member of NRNA South Korea with 25 years of extensive experience in various business endeavors in Korea, the event garnered significant attention. Attendees included Sushil Bijukchhe, a proud graduate of Ajou University in South Korea and currently employed at Nepal Rastra Bank, and Sunil Acharya, the director of Jupiter Media, renowned for his two-decade-long commitment to academic journalism.
Mr. Ramesh Adhikari, Vice President of KECAN, commenced the program with a warm welcome speech, emphasizing the importance of advancing South Korea’s educational consulting sector for the collective development of both nations.
A highlight of the event was the engaging Study in Korea session led by Naresh Sendai, an esteemed educational consultant specializing in Korean affairs. Sendai, provided invaluable insights into the intricacies of studying in Korea, guiding attendees through the application process and available opportunities.
During the program, special guest Sushil Bijukchhe shared his firsthand experiences and reflections on South Korea’s educational system, drawing from his personal journey as a graduate of Ajou University.
Bishnu Khadka, Vice President of KECAN, underscored the program’s objective of enlightening business professionals associated with various organizations about the prospects of Korean studies.
Representatives from renowned Korean universities such as Ajou University, Kyungsung University, Dongshin University, Ulsan College, and Kimpo University virtually presented detailed overviews of their institutions, highlighting available courses, facilities, and the presence of Nepali students.
Ganesh Sharma, President of Korea Educational Consulting Association Nepal, expressed gratitude to all attendees for their contributions in making the program informative and successful, marking the formal conclusion of the event.
Following the formal proceedings, a networking dinner provided an opportunity for KECAN members to engage in fruitful discussions with experts, exploring both opportunities and challenges within Korea’s educational landscape.
