EDUCAST, The 15th ECAN Multi-Destination Educational Fair, organized by the Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN), kicked off today at Everest Hotel, Kathmandu. This one-day event will run from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing valuable insights for Nepali students interested in both domestic and international education opportunities.
ECAN President Shesh Raj Bhattarai highlighted that this is the first in-person fair since the COVID-19 pandemic. He explained, “The fair aims to provide comprehensive information about education systems in Nepal and abroad, future prospects, and the impact of qualifications earned from different institutions. It also serves as a platform to offer scholarship details, facilities, and advisory services to students.” Bhattarai expressed confidence that the educational fair would be instrumental in helping students achieve their higher education goals.
Students attending the event will have the opportunity to learn about various global educational institutions, their academic systems, admission processes, and course offerings. Additionally, the fair will enable students to interact with representatives from various countries.
The organizers expect over 3,000 attendees, including students, parents, and other stakeholders. According to Bhattarai, “The fair will not only provide internationally recognized educational materials and advice but will also play a significant role in enhancing the knowledge, skills, and intellectual capabilities of Nepali students.”
The inauguration ceremony featured prominent figures such as British Council Nepal’s Country Exams Director Pratistha Thapa, IERIN President Hamenta Bhattrai, KECAN President Ganesh Sharma, JALSON President Ramesh Devkota, Immediate Past President of ECAN Prakash Pandey, Past President Bishnu Hari Pandey, and other distinguished guests.
The title sponsor of the fair was Real Dreams Educational Consultancy Pvt Ltd and Ved International Education Pvt Ltd in association. Besides, the sponsors were KIEC Pvt Ltd, Orbit International Education Pvt Ltd, Nobel Education Pvt Ltd, WRI Education, Right Path, Seneca, Kangaroo Education Foundation, Elite Movers, Vira Education and Grace Education Pvt Ltd.
There were stalls of 22 different companies in the fair. ECAN is the oldest and largest organization in the field of educational consultancy and has 607 members.
