EPCAN Successfully Concludes Its 2nd Annual General Meeting

EDUCAST,  The Educational Consultancy Professionals’ Association, Nepal (EPCAN) successfully concluded its 2nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday at Alice Reception, Naxal, Kathmandu. The program commenced with a welcome speech by EPCAN General Secretary Anil Sharma Poudel, followed by a lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Dr. Dipak Kafle, Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, and EPCAN President Prajwal Basnet.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Dipak Kafle, Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, emphasized that the government is committed to regulating and organizing the educational consultancy sector to make it more systematic and ethical. He highlighted the vital role of consultants not only in facilitating students to study abroad but also in attracting international students to Nepal.

Rajendra Baral, President of the Nepal Educational Consultancy Enterprises of Federation (NECEP), stressed the importance of improving Nepal’s educational standards to reduce the need for students to study abroad. He also mentioned the potential for Nepal to attract foreign students if a favorable environment is created.

Immediate past president of  ECAN Prakash Pandey, ECAN President Sheshraj Bhattarai, KECAN President Ganesh Sharma, JALSAN President Ramesh Devkota, IERIN President Hemant Bhattarai, and NAAER President Uddhav Khadka, NECA Treasurer Surya Pokhrel, along with representatives from various foreign universities, extended their best wishes for the success of the AGM.

The event was chaired by EPCAN President Prajwal Basnet, with Naresh Sedhai serving as the event host.

On the occasion, EPCAN member Sudhir Raj Khadka shared his experience of returning from the UK and starting Angel Health Care Home, combining his entrepreneurial spirit with the educational consultancy sector.
