BFIN and Navara Capital Limited Signed MoU to Enhance Financial Education and Consultancy

    EDUCAST, Colombo, Sri Lanka – February 20, 2025: The Banking, Finance & Insurance Institute of Nepal (BFIN) and Navara Capital Limited (NCL), Sri Lanka, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a long-term strategic partnership focused on advancing financial education, research, and consultancy services.

    The MoU was signed in Colombo, Sri Lanka, by Dr. Binod Atreya, Managing Director of BFIN, and Dr. Harsha De Silva, Chief Executive Officer of Navara Capital Limited, in the presence of senior officials and representatives from both institutions.

    This partnership will facilitate joint workshops, training programs, seminars, and conferences, as well as collaborative research and consultancy projects. Additionally, both organizations will explore accredited short-term and long-term courses and enhance professional development opportunities for executives and financial sector staff in Nepal and Sri Lanka.

    Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Binod Atreya stated that this collaboration would play a crucial role in capacity development within Nepal’s financial sector, leveraging Navara Capital Limited’s expertise. Dr. Harsha De Silva emphasized that the partnership would create high-impact programs to benefit financial professionals, institutions, and the broader financial ecosystem.

    The MoU signing coincided with a visit by Dr. Binod Atreya and a senior delegation from Nepal’s banking and financial sector to Sri Lanka. The visit aimed to gain insights into Sri Lanka’s financial infrastructure and microfinance landscape.

    This collaboration marks a significant milestone in fostering knowledge exchange, innovation, and professional growth, reinforcing both institutions’ commitment to strengthening financial education and consultancy in Nepal and Sri Lanka.
