EDUCAST, In a bid to equip Nepali students with essential knowledge and guidance for their upcoming academic journey in Canada, the International Career Counselling Centre (ICCC) in collaboration with popular consultancy organized a pre-departure session in Kathmandu on March 30. The event aimed to provide comprehensive information and address concerns related to documentation, visa processing, and other crucial aspects pertinent to studying abroad.
The session saw the participation of branch representatives and senior counselors from across the country, who meticulously elucidated on various facets of the migration process. From detailing prohibited items for travel from Nepal to elucidating the intricacies of visa processing and transit protocols, the representatives left no stone unturned in ensuring the students were well-informed. Additionally, they shed light on the dos and don’ts upon reaching Canada, university commencement dates, institutional regulations, and legal implications associated with actions abroad.
Kriti Khanal, Head of the Chabhil Branch of ICCC, took the stage to expound on the post-study Permanent Residency (PR) process, outlining the critical requirements for PR attainment. Her information into navigating the complexities of immigration procedures after completing studies were invaluable to the aspiring students.
The event witnessed a turnout of over 150 students. Their enthusiastic participation underscored the significance of such preparatory sessions in allaying apprehensions and providing clarity amidst the excitement of venturing abroad for higher education.
Expressing their gratitude, the students lauded the session for dispelling their doubts and equipping them with practical knowledge essential for a seamless transition to Canadian academia.
