The 5th AGM & third convention of the Korean Educational Consultancy Association Nepal (KECAN) was successfully held in a grand manner. The event took place on Saturday at Smart Palace, Chabahil, Kathmandu, where Bishnu Khadka was elected as the new President of KECAN.
The program was held under the chairmanship of KECAN’s founding president, Ganesh Sharma, with former chairman of the National Assembly, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, as the chief guest.
During the convention, a new executive committee was formed with the following members:
The newly elected executive members include Ganesh Pokhrel, Ramesh Pathak, Yadunath Upadhyay, Geeta Kumari Subedi, Santoshi Pant, Pramod Dhungana, Rijan Madai, and Narayan Krishna Shrestha.
The event focused on presenting the annual activity and financial reports of the past year, along with discussions and approvals for the upcoming year’s plans and budget.
The Korean Educational Consultancy Association Nepal (KECAN) was established on March 9, 2021 (Fagun 26, 2077 B.S.), under the leadership of Ganesh Sharma. It serves as the umbrella organization for educational consultancies that guide students aspiring to pursue higher education in South Korea.
The association has been actively working to address the concerns of students and parents, conduct seminars, and facilitate information exchange.
With the successful completion of this convention, KECAN is set to become more structured, capable, and effective in achieving its mission.
