Progressive Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (PECAN) Elects New Central Committee in Historic First National Convention

EDUCAST, In a significant milestone for the education sector of Nepal, the Progressive Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (PECAN) successfully conducted its inaugural National Convention on Bhadra 16. The convention saw the election of a new central committee, led by the esteemed Basudev Nepal as president.

During the convention, the diligent working committee, which had dedicated an entire year to its mission, presented a comprehensive report of its activities and accomplishments as stated by immediate past president Bishnu Pokhrael.

Mr. Basudev Nepal, an eminent figure in the field of education, was elected as the President of PECAN, bringing with him a lot of experience and expertise. Mr. Bal Krishna Bista and Mr. Deepak Khanal were elected as Vice Presidents, contributing their dedication to the organization’s vision.

Adding to the diversity of leadership, Ms. Sushma Acharya assumed the role of Female Vice President. The pivotal position of General Secretary was entrusted to Mr. Rabin KC, who will oversee the operational aspects of PECAN. Assisting him in this role are Secretaries Mr. Ram Chandra KC, Mr. Krishna Kadel, and Mr. Bishwa Kalyan Adhikari, each contributing their unique skills and perspectives to the organization.

Taking charge of the financial matters, Mr. Ram Thapa has been appointed as the Treasurer, ensuring the prudent management of PECAN’s resources.

Expanding the executive team, PECAN has elected Pabitra Thapa Magar, Menuka Dhungana, Sunil Khatiwada, Balram Acharya, Surya Mohan Acharya, Chhatra Bahadur Bista, Nirajan Siwakoti, Yagya Bilas Poudel, Pushpa Raj Paharai, and Rabin Timilsina as Members, providing valuable information and support for PECAN’s future endeavors.

This historic convention marks a new beginning for PECAN, signaling its commitment to advancing the educational landscape in Nepal. The newly elected Central Committee, under the leadership of Basudev Nepal, is poised to steer the organization towards greater achievements, innovation, and excellence in the field of education.
