EDUCAST, International Career Counseling Center (ICCC) has successfully concluded a pre-departure session for Nepali students aspiring to study in Canada. The session, organized as part of a joint collaboration between ICCC and Popular Consultancy, aimed to provide information and guidance to students who have applied for Canadian study visas.

Ram Khadka, the Managing Director at ICCC, highlighted the center’s long-standing commitment to assisting students interested in pursuing studies in Canada. He emphasized the importance of proper preparation before departing for Canada to avoid potential challenges, such as cultural adjustment issues and legal complexities.

Khadka stated, “ICCC has been actively promoting Canada as a preferred destination to Nepali students for a significant period. Our expertise in visa processing and the high success rate of our applicants reflect our dedication to ensuring student satisfaction. However, we acknowledge that students may face confusion and challenges, especially after arriving in Canada, due to a lack of prior knowledge about the country’s situation and regulations.”

He further explained that the pre-departure session aimed to address these concerns and alleviate students’ confusion, ultimately contributing to a smoother transition for them. Khadka revealed that 90% of students who participated in the session reported feeling more confident about their journey to Canada.

The event, attended by representatives from branches across the country and senior counselors, covered various topics such as documentation requirements, visa processing, and transit procedures. It also addressed common queries raised by students regarding illegal items, baggage limits, activities during transit, and university regulations in Canada.

Additionally, Chabahil Branch Head Mrs. Kriti Khanal, Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) provided insights into post-arrival processes, including how to navigate the PR process and which areas of study are eligible for PR. Over 150 students who had applied for Canadian visas actively participated in the program.

Participants expressed their gratitude for the session, stating that it had helped dispel their confusion and boosted their confidence in facing potential challenges in Canada. Towards the end of the program, Ram Khadka and other senior counselors addressed students’ questions and concerned about studying in Canada, providing valuable insights and reassurance.

The successful completion of the pre-departure session reflected ICCC’s commitment to ensure a smooth transition for Nepali students aspiring to pursue higher education in Canada. With comprehensive guidance and support, students were better equipped to embark on their academic journey with confidence and preparedness.
