EDUCAST, The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) Education Council held a pivotal meeting today, hosting three esteemed vice-chancellors: Prof. Dr. Biju Kr. Thapaliya from Purbanchal University, Prof. Dr. Dhurbachandra Gautam from Mid Western University, and Prof. Dr. Subarnalal Bajracharya from Lumbini Boudha University. The session focused on strategies to elevate Nepalese universities’ rankings in QS and THE, implement international degree twinning programs, and align university curricula with current industry demands.
Significant advancements were made, including a council agreement with Purbanchal University for research and incubator operations, collaboration with Mid Western University to enhance industry-related curricula, and plans with Lumbini Boudha University to promote studying in Nepal and Buddhism through participation in international conferences. We are happy to hear LBU hosting hundreds of new chinese students planning to join this september.
The session was chaired by Mr. Dwiraj Sharma, with a warm welcome from CNI Vice President Nirvana Chaudhary. Education Council Members and entrepreneurs shared innovative ideas to bolster Nepalese public institutions.
