EDUCAST, Jyoti Bikas Bank has been honored with the prestigious ‘Excellence in Digital Transactions’ award by Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL) for its outstanding digital services and promotion of electronic payments. The award was presented during the 16th anniversary celebration of NCHL in a special ceremony. Nepal Rastra Bank Governor, Mr. Maha Prasad Adhikari, handed over the award to Jyoti Bikas Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kapil Dhakal, recognizing the bank’s excellence among development banks.

With a focus on technology-driven and customer-centric services, Jyoti Bikas Bank has played a significant role in Nepal’s digital banking transformation. The bank continues to strengthen its position in the digital banking sector by leveraging advanced technologies and providing secure and convenient digital banking solutions. It has introduced modern online and mobile banking platforms to offer seamless and secure banking experiences.

Notably, Jyoti Bikas Bank became the first development bank to launch the Voice Audio Box QR service, ensuring convenience for QR merchants. It has also facilitated cashless transactions by operating cross-border payment services. The bank offers unique features like opening fixed deposit accounts through its mobile banking app, Cardless Cash Withdrawal via the Jyoti Smart App, and Scan & Withdraw services that allow QR code-based withdrawals without cheques. Additionally, it provides Video KYC services to enable online account opening and activation.

To promote digital transactions, the bank has distributed free QR codes to businesses nationwide, thereby supporting cashless payments and contributing significantly to digital banking development. Emphasizing cybersecurity, Jyoti Bikas Bank advises its customers to safeguard passwords, PINs, OTP codes, and other confidential information to prevent financial fraud.

Guided by principles of institutional governance and social responsibility, Jyoti Bikas Bank is committed to societal progress and sustainable transformation. With an aim to brighten lives and foster long-term impact, the bank allocates over 50% more funds from its net profit toward corporate social responsibility initiatives compared to other financial institutions.
