    1. KATHMANDU: Kenneth DiSaia is President & Co-Founder of the Enrollment Advisory Group (EAG). With 30 years of experience in higher education and an MBA in International Business, Ken supports international students in the recruitment system for the University of Bridgeport and other universities.  These universities promote academic excellence, personal responsibility and commitment to service for international students. Distinctive curricula in a global, culturally diverse supportive learning environment prepare graduates for life and leadership in an increasingly interconnected world. Here are some excerpts based on the interview with DiSaia:

The primary role of EAG is to help international students navigate the college selection process in The United States of America. We believe that it’s the responsibility of EAG to have our presence globally.  EAG is helping students throughout the Americas, Middle East and also Asia.

Mainly, EAG has been working with a private university, the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This university has been providing quality education for graduate and post-graduate degrees. As many students are looking to pursue their higher studies in IT, Computer Science, Engineering and MBA along with a wide variety of undergraduate programs. And they want to bring their experience from the classroom to the economy in Nepal. Many international students are attending Bridgeport University on scholarship in various programs. These students are recognized for their academic achievements in high schools or colleges and we have supported them financially. Obvious that many students are in financial need and are receiving support for their college expenses and the University of Bridgeport supports that.

While talking about students at the University of Bridgeport, around 45% of them are from different countries around the world to attend their higher education because of the reputation of academic programs. Thus the University of Bridgeport has a very diverse student-faculty. As the university is close to New York City, students can do their internships and their Optional Practical Training or OPT after graduation. There are many companies that offer placement offer to international students to gain professional experience. When they come back to Nepal, students will have value added to their degrees.

EAG also works with other institutions where Nepali students have a great interest. Edit garnu paryo,

The University of Nebraska in Kearney is one of them. The regional college under the University of Nebraska provides a variety of courses for the undergraduate program. The university wants to expand the international student population. As they had hired EAG, we have started working on fulfilling a number of international students around the globe. A higher number of Nepali students are enrolling their names in the University of Nebraska as the university has offered Nepali students education at reasonable fees. As a public university, the University of Nebraska has been charging the US $ 10,000 annually. The university has a history of embracing many international students, particularly Nepali students in its community with open arms and providing them with a wide range of cultural experiences.

EAG’s goal is to provide them with valuable education in Nebraska and bring it back home. It is a good step to offer such opportunities to Nepali students and the Biden administration is always there to support the flow of international students from this part of the world. More Nepali students are expected to go to the USA to gain higher education in college partners of EAG. They have been very successful and looking for more in the future.
