EDUCAST, In a significant meeting held recently, newly appointed Australian Ambassador Leann Johnston met with the presidents and representatives of key educational organizations in Nepal, including NAAER, IERIN, ECAN, NECA, and AAERI Nepal. The discussions, organized by the Australian Education Associations’ Alliance (AAEA), focused on enhancing educational collaboration and expanding opportunities for students through academic partnerships between Nepal and Australia.
During the meeting, prominent leaders welcomed Ambassador Johnston, expressing their hopes for a successful tenure. NAAER President Dr. Udhav Bahadur Khadka, IERIN President Hamenta Bhattarai, ECAN President Sheshraj Bhattarai, AAERI Nepal President Mahesh Babu Timalsina, NECA President Santosh Pyakurel, and AANA President Ananta Poudyal extended their warm greetings.
Ambassador Johnston emphasized her commitment to fostering educational diplomacy, stating, “I believe our leadership can pave the way for a promising future, enhancing mutual success and development for both nations. Together, we are dedicated to creating greater opportunities for students and professionals, strengthening the vital relationship between Nepal and Australia.”
