EDUCAST, The International Education Representatives’ Initiative of Nepal (IERIN) is preparing for a highly anticipated Familiarization (FAM) trip to the UK and Europe, scheduled from October 18 to 30, 2024. This educational expedition, led by IERIN President Hemanta Bhattarai, aims to foster partnerships between Nepali education agents and top universities across the region, enhancing opportunities for Nepalese students seeking international education.
The trip will kick off on October 18, 2024, with the delegation departing from Kathmandu Airport. Representatives will have the chance to visit various prestigious institutions, starting with a tour at the University of Hertfordshire on October 21, where they will meet Dean Lee. The program continues with a series of meetings at Middlesex University on October 22 and the British Council in London on October 23, led by Ben Wakeford, Global Relationship Manager at IELTS.
Other key highlights include a visit to the University of West London on October 24, where delegates will be greeted by representatives Matt and Sophie Harvison, and a tour of the campus. Following these engagements, the delegation will visit the University of Worcester on October 25, wrapping up their UK leg of the trip with a visit to Edinburgh Napier University on October 28, with discussions led by representative Ameye Astor.
This FAM trip is expected to provide invaluable insights into the education systems of the UK and Europe, further strengthening ties between Nepali education consultants and international institutions, and helping prospective students access top-quality global education.
