Kathmandu: Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand, VIDA, has officially entered Nepal, marking the company’s first international market and the beginning of its global expansion. The electric two-wheeler range will be exclusively distributed in Nepal through CG Motors, the automotive division of the Chaudhary Group.

As part of its launch, VIDA introduced the VX2 electric scooter series and the DRT-E K3 electric off-road motorcycle, catering to both daily commuters and younger riders. The VX2 scooter is available in two variants—VX2 Plus and VX2 Go. According to the company, the VX2 Plus delivers a real-world riding range of up to 140 kilometers, while the VX2 Go offers up to 75 kilometers on a single charge. Both models feature removable batteries, fast-charging capability, and smart connectivity through a mobile application, enabling navigation, vehicle monitoring, and over-the-air software updates.

The VIDA DRT-E K3 is designed for teenagers and young riders, offering adjustable ergonomics, parental speed control, and three riding modes for enhanced safety. The model has also received international recognition, including the Red Dot Design Award 2025 and the CES Innovation Award 2026.

Kaushalya Nand Kumar, Chief Business Officer of Hero MotoCorp’s Emerging Mobility Business Unit, said Nepal was chosen as VIDA’s first international destination because of its rapidly growing electric vehicle market. She expressed confidence that the partnership with CG Motors would provide Nepali consumers with premium and reliable electric mobility solutions.

Nirvana Chaudhary, Managing Director of Chaudhary Group, said the launch reflects Nepal’s transition toward sustainable transportation and will help accelerate the adoption of electric two-wheelers in the country.

Hero MotoCorp, present in Nepal since 2014, said the introduction of VIDA represents a significant step toward expanding smart, sustainable, and future-ready electric mobility while strengthening its long-standing relationship with Nepali customers.
