Pakistani President’s Representatives Visit Nepali Embassy in Islamabad to Express Solidarity Over Flood Devastation

EDUCAST, Following directives from the President of Pakistan, a high-level diplomatic delegation visited the Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad to convey deep condolences over the casualties and widespread devastation caused by catastrophic flooding in northern Nepal.

The delegation comprised former Chairman of the Senate Syed Nayyar Bokhari and Presidential Spokesperson Murtaza Solangi, who formally communicated the sympathy of the leadership and people of Pakistan. The diplomatic outreach comes in the aftermath of severe flash floods along the Bhotekoshi river corridor near the China-Nepal border, triggered by intense landslides and a glacial lake outburst. During the visit, Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan Rita Dhital received the delegation and expressed her gratitude for Islamabad’s immediate gesture of support, noting that such solidarity underscores the resilient bilateral ties between the two South Asian neighbors during crises.

The representatives recorded official messages in the embassy’s Visitors’ Book, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to assist Nepal in relief and recovery efforts. This diplomatic gesture aligns with a long-standing pattern of mutual humanitarian cooperation between the two nations, which previously saw Pakistan deploy medical field units, airlift emergency supplies, and coordinate search-and-rescue teams during major Himalayan natural disasters.
