EDUCAST, The Youth in Action Model United Nations (YIAMUN 2026) conference was successfully organized and conducted by the students of Grades IX and X at V.S. Niketan Secondary School. The multi-day educational event brought together student diplomats to simulate key international bodies, hone public speaking skills, and deliberate on pressing global challenges.

The grand opening ceremony on Day I (Friday, 28th August 2026) was anchored by student hosts Jeshika and Sajana. The event commenced with the arrival of distinguished school leaders, including Founder Chairperson Mrs. Urmila Pokhrel, Principal Mr. Ranjit Kumar Pandit, Vice Principal Ms. Bandana Lama, the School/College Manager, Vice-Principal, and Block In-Charge. Following the traditional lighting of the Panas lamp accompanied by the Swosti Bachan recited by Tail Twisters Kritika, Subarna, Nistha, and Sambhav, the assembly joined for the National Anthem. Principal Mr. Ranjit Kumar Pandit delivered an inspiring speech, which was complemented by cultural performances including a Ganesh Bandana, an address by Secretary General Kritika Jaiswal, dances by Dilmaya & Group, and music by Arif Ali and Shreyan. The opening phase concluded with the introduction of the committee Chairs and Vice-Chairs, followed by a Vote of Thanks from Director General Subarna Chaulagain.
The closing ceremony on Day III (Sunday, 30th August 2026) was hosted by anchors Sadikshya and Aditi. The final day featured musical performances by Aayam Shrestha and Shreyan Shrestha, a dance by Loji & Group, an official address by President Ms. Shraddha Bhatta, and closing remarks delivered by Vice Principal Ms. Bandana Lama. The ceremony highlighted the delegation’s hard work throughout the conference and celebrated their academic achievements during the prize distribution segment.
