EDUCAST, Bizz Education’s Gatthaghar branch organized an exclusive Information and Training Session featuring key in-country representatives from University College Birmingham (UCB), United Kingdom. The session was led by Ms. Samita Subba, In-Country Manager – Nepal, and Ms. Onida Limbu, In-Country Officer – Nepal. The event provided prospective Nepalese students and educational counselors with authentic, first-hand details regarding admission processes, academic programs, career pathways, and visa guidance for higher education in the UK. During the session, representatives highlighted University College Birmingham (UCB), situated in central Birmingham, England—a major industrial, economic, and student-friendly hub in the UK.

UCB is renowned for its career-focused education, strong industry links, and modern campus facilities in disciplines ranging from Culinary Arts, Hospitality, and Business Management to Computer Science, Data Analytics, Nursing, and Engineering. The university offers two primary entry intakes every year: the major September/October Intake across all streams and the January/February Intake for specialized undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

The university representatives also detailed the core entry requirements for Nepalese applicants. For undergraduate programs, students generally need a minimum of 60% in standard Grade 12 or $+2$ qualifications, while postgraduate degree entry requires a recognized Bachelor’s degree with a minimum score of 55% to 60%. An IELTS score of 6.0 overall (with no sub-score under 5.5) or equivalent tests like PTE Academic, LanguageCert, and Oxford ELLT are standard for English proficiency, with potential IELTS waivers available for students demonstrating high English scores in secondary board exams.Participants at Bizz Education Gatthaghar received direct profile evaluations and guidance on standard international scholarship options, making UCB an accessible choice for Nepalese students aspiring to study in the United Kingdom.
