Samir Phuyal of Karobar App bags Global Student Entrepreneur Awards 2023

    KATHMANDU: Samir Phuyal of Karobar App has won the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards 2023. In the final held in the capital’s Silver Oak, Phuyal got the main prize of Rs 1,50,000. Likewise, Soni Pokharel of Mushoor, Nepal and Nirman of Aifiverse Tech Services Pvt. Ltd won 1st and 2nd runner-up titles respectively. They received Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000, respectively.

    Students entrepreneurs from across Nepal participated in the competition with 19 contestants reaching the National Semi-Finals whereas only 6 contestants got into the National Finals.

    Mid-Valley International College along with Entrepreneur Organization Nepal jointly organized GSEA National Competition 2023. GSEA is an annual global competition organized by the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO). It supports and recognizes student entrepreneurs by mentoring them, connecting them with other like-minded peers, and giving advice on how to help their businesses grow.

    The competition is held in three rounds: National, Regional & Global. In a series of national & regional competitions, participants compete with their peers in an effort to advance to the GSEA Global Finals. According to organizers, the global winner has the potential to grow their network and receive a grand prize package of $100,000.
