EDUCAST, Class 12 examinations, a pivotal milestone in the academic journey of thousands of students across Nepal, commence today, marking the beginning of a rigorous evaluation period. Scheduled from 8 am to 11 am, the examinations are set to continue until Baisakh 26, encompassing a broad spectrum of subjects crucial for academic progression.

This year, a significant surge in participation is observed, with a total of 390,847 students gearing up to undertake the challenge. Among them, 196,914 are female students, highlighting a commendable stride towards gender parity in educational access and opportunities. Additionally, 193,933 male students are poised to demonstrate their academic prowess during this examination cycle.

In preparation for the examinations, the board has meticulously designated a total of 1,525 examination centers nationwide, ensuring accessibility and convenience for candidates across diverse geographical locations. Notably, an examination center has been established outside the country, in Japan, catering to the needs of Nepalese students residing abroad.

Kathmandu emerges as a focal point, with the highest number of examination centers, totaling one hundred forty-four. Conversely, the serene enclave of Manang (Mustang) hosts a solitary examination center, underscoring the inclusive approach adopted by the examination board to accommodate students from remote regions.

In a notable departure from tradition, this year witnesses a significant milestone as the examination center in Kathmandu is determined through a random selection process—a testament to the board’s commitment to transparency and fairness in assessment procedures.

As students embark on this academic endeavor, they are encouraged to approach the examinations with diligence, determination, and confidence.
