FINYE AGM 2023 Concluded with Ambitious Expansion Plans and New Leadership

EDUCAST, The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Federation of International Nepali Youth International (FINYE) for the term 2023-2025 concluded on Saturday, May 11th, 2024, with a unanimous declaration to expand into at least 30 countries by the end of the specified tenure.

Established with the aim of empowering, connecting, and developing entrepreneurship through networking, conferences, and idea sharing, FINYE has made significant strides since its inception in 2021. The AGM, held anonymously but with solidarity, served as a platform to reflect on past achievements and chart a course for future growth and development.

Key highlights of the AGM include the election of a new International Executive Committee (IEC) to lead FINYE for the term 2023-2025.

The team lineup for the esteemed organization includes a diverse array of individuals from around the globe, each contributing their unique expertise and leadership to drive the organization’s mission forward. Leading the charge as President in Australia is Swotantra Pratap Shah, while Gokarna Dhakal holds the mantle of Senior Vice President in Hong Kong. Notable figures such as Prakash Thapa, representing the USA, and Ramesh Shrestha, stationed in Dubai, serve as Vice Presidents, alongside Shamim Anwar and Dila Kharel in Australia, and Purna Pokhariya in Qatar. Hong Kong also sees Akash Banjara and Dipen Ghale taking up pivotal roles as Vice President and General Secretary respectively, with Pradip Neupane and Om Gyawali guiding affairs as Secretary and Joint-Treasurer in China.

Further bolstering the organization’s structure are key figures such as Kumar Karki, Secretary in Saudi Arabia, and Usha Gurung, who fulfills the role of Treasurer in Australia. Shambhu Kadel takes the podium as Spokesperson, amplifying the organization’s voice and message in Australia. Executive Members include Rajnish Bhattarai in Hong Kong, Manish S Dangol in the UK, Amar Sapkota and Bikash Dahal in Qatar, MK Poudel in the USA, Nirajan Khatri in Dubai, and Thakar B Karki in Dubai. Rustam Shrestha, Rajendra Kadel, and Bikash Shahi hold pivotal Regional President positions in Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East respectively. Meanwhile, Roshan Budhathoki offers advisory expertise from North America, with Thakur Dhungana serving as an Advisor based in Dubai.

In addition to the election of new leadership, the AGM saw discussions on FINYE’s accomplishments, including the establishment of the central office, organizing international events such as the International Entrepreneurs Summit and Policy and Advocacy Conference, and engaging with key stakeholders like the Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Nepalese Youth Entrepreneurs Forum (NYEF).

Furthermore, FINYE outlined its objectives, which include promoting closer relations between Nepal and FINYE organizations globally, facilitating trade and investment flows, supporting community-based business interests, and advocating for entrepreneurship education and policy reform.

With a presence already established in 10 countries, including Australia, UK, USA, and Japan, FINYE aims to further its reach and impact by expanding into 30 additional countries within the 2023-2025 tenure.

The AGM concluded with a sense of optimism and determination to realize FINYE’s vision of fostering entrepreneurship and economic development among Nepali youth both domestically and internationally. As FINYE continues to grow and evolve, its commitment to empowering young entrepreneurs and promoting Nepali products on the global stage remains unwavering.
