Grand Launch of Destination UK Television Program by Jupiter Media at Hotel Everest

    EDUCAST, Jupiter Media officially launched its ambitious audio-visual television program, Destination UK, with a grand ceremony held at Hotel Everest in Baneshwor, Kathmandu. This initiative aims to present the realities of educational institutions in the UK, highlight the experiences and challenges faced by Nepali students, and celebrate the successes of the Nepali community in the UK. The event was graced by esteemed personalities from the Nepali educational sector. Bizz Education is the title sponsor of Destination UK whereas the programme is supported by Real Dreams Education Consultancy.

    Sponsors and Partners

    The program is sponsored by several prestigious institutions including the University of Wolverhampton, University College Birmingham, Solent University, University of Hertfordshire, University of Bedfordshire, University of Worcester, and the University of Central Lancashire. Co-sponsors include the University of Creative Arts, Oxford International, York St. John University, and the University of the West of Scotland. Seagull Nepal is the travel partner, Bibhuti Solutions serves as the creative partner, and Educast Nepal and Nepal Naksha are the online media partners.

    Event Highlights

    The ceremony commenced with the inauguration by Professor Ebrahim Adia, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wolverhampton, and Raju Acharya, President of Jupiter Media, who jointly lit the panas lamp.

     

    In his welcome speech, Raju Acharya expressed gratitude to all attendees for their presence and reaffirmed Jupiter Media’s commitment to the sustainable development of the Nepali educational sector. He emphasized the company’s dedication to guiding Nepali parents and students towards a brighter future.

     

    Uttam Pant, former president of the Association of British Alumni in Nepal (ABAN), highlighted Jupiter Media’s contributions to the educational sector and expressed confidence that the Destination UK program will provide accurate information about studying in the UK to Nepali students and parents. He shared the historical context of British educational activities in Nepali society and wished for the program’s success.

     

    Subin Bajracharya, Head of Operations at the British Council, praised Jupiter Media for continuously addressing various problems in the educational sector and for showcasing educational opportunities both within and outside Nepal. He discussed the background, utility, importance, challenges, and participation in the British educational system, hoping that the  Destination UK program would illuminate various aspects of UK studies and post-study opportunities for Nepali students.

     

    Commendations and Unveilings

    International Director of Global Opportunities, Sergine Monple from the University of Wolverhampton, commended Jupiter Media’s Destination UK program and wished it great success.

     

    Alison Anderson, Regional Manager – South Asia at the University of the West of Scotland, highlighted that Scotland offers a wealth of opportunities for international students, with its world-class education system and diverse cultural experiences. She emphasized the supportive environment for students and the potential for academic and personal growth. Anderson expressed confidence that studying in Scotland can significantly enhance career prospects for international students.

     

    An informative booklet about Destination UK was jointly unveiled by Raju Acharya and Professor Ebrahim Adia.

     

    Hari Karki, Chairperson of Bizz Education, the main sponsor of the Destination UK program, advised Nepali students and parents to prepare thoroughly for studying in the UK and emphasized the importance of creating opportunities in Nepal. He also expressed his best wishes for the program’s success.

    Professor Ebrahim Adia conveyed his happiness and congratulated Jupiter Media for the initiative. Sunil Acharya, Director of Jupiter Media, concluded the event by reiterating the organization’s commitment to promoting various opportunities in the Nepali educational sector. He highlighted the importance of providing accurate information about UK studies and expressed gratitude to all sponsors and partners for their support.

     

    The event concluded with the distribution of tokens of appreciation to the chief guests, marking a successful launch of the Destination UK program.
