Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Suthra credited Dr. Achyuta Samanta, the former president of the Volleyball Federation of India, for his mentorship and support throughout his career. “This achievement would not have been possible without the inspiration and encouragement of Dr. Samanta. His vision has shaped my journey and enabled me to contribute to the global volleyball movement,” said Dr. Suthra.
In his official appointment letter, FIVB President Fabio Azevedo praised Dr. Suthra’s professional expertise, stating, “We are confident that Dr. Varun Suthra will make a positive contribution to the FIVB Communications Commission, strengthening our commitment to best practices.”
Dr. Suthra, who has over six years of experience in both the Indian and Swiss legislatures, has long been a champion of international collaboration. His participation in events such as the Economic Forum in Karpacz and his advisory role with the Swiss-Indian Parliamentary Group further underscores his global leadership credentials.
