EDUCAST, Machhapuchhre School in Lalitpur has been conducting a community-police partnership program to strengthen cooperation between the community and the police. Recently, the school, in collaboration with the Community Police Service Center, organized a public safety-related citizen hearing and interaction program.
The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG) Tek Bahadur Tamang and the school’s founding chairman, Dr. Binod Yadav, through the symbolic act of watering a plant.
The program began with a welcome speech delivered by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Chitra Bahadur Bhattarai of Satdobato Police Circle. Chief Guest AIG Tek Bahadur Tamang highlighted the importance of collaboration between the police and the community for maintaining peace and security.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shyam Krishna Adhikari shed light on measures taken to address citizens’ concerns and enhance public safety. Similarly, Chief District Officer Ramesh Dhakal presented an overview of public safety initiatives in the local area.
During the interactive session, participants were given the opportunity to share their suggestions, grievances, and feedback. At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Binod Yadav, the founder of Machhapuchhre School, expressed his closing remarks by emphasizing the crucial role of the police in ensuring citizens’ safety. He also presented tokens of appreciation to all the distinguished guests.
