EDUCAST, A joint blood donation campaign organized by the Nepal Democratic Sports Association and the Nepal Democratic Educational Consultants Association (DECAN) has successfully concluded, aiming to support relief and treatment efforts for the victims of the Rasuwa floods.
The humanitarian initiative was spearheaded under the leadership and initiative of Deepak Gurung, Founder President of the Nepal Democratic Sports Association and President of DECAN. The event was supported by the Lions Club of Kathmandu Core City as a co-organizer and Kantipur Health Service Hospital for technical assistance.

Speaking at the event, President Deepak Gurung stated that such humanitarian initiatives directly assist state machinery and government efforts during natural disasters. “Disaster relief and response is a shared responsibility. Instead of solely relying on the government, private sectors and social organizations must step forward to lend a hand. This collected blood will directly support medical services, aiding flood victims and easing the burden on government healthcare facilities,” Gurung highlighted.
The campaign witnessed active participation from educational consultants, athletes, youth, and the general public. Extending gratitude to all donors, the organizers reaffirmed their commitment to continuing similar social and humanitarian initiatives in the future.
