ECAN Lalitpur Organizes ‘Study in India Information Session’

LALITPUR — The Nepal Educational Consultancy Association (ECAN), Lalitpur, organized a ‘Study in India Information Session’ with the objective of providing Nepali students with information about higher education opportunities, universities, and academic programs in India.

The session was held on August 11, 2026 (26 Shrawan 2083) at Thasang Ghar, Manbhawan, Lalitpur. Representatives from various Indian higher education institutions provided participating students and parents with information on study opportunities, academic programs, admission procedures, scholarships, and career prospects.

The program was attended by Shiva Prasad Aryal, ECAN Executive Member and Head of the Study in India Department, and Shyam Sharma S., Public Relations Officer of Hindustan Educational Institutions, among others. The interaction focused on higher education opportunities in India, university selection, academic programs, and career pathways available to Nepali students.

Speaking at the event, Sanam Kumar Maharjan, President of ECAN Lalitpur, expressed his appreciation to the participating educational consultancies and representatives. He said that such information-sharing and interaction programs provide students and parents with valuable guidance when making informed decisions about pursuing higher education in India.

India continues to remain an important and accessible higher education destination for Nepali students, offering a wide range of academic programs and institutions. ECAN Lalitpur stated that it will continue organizing similar programs to provide students with accurate and relevant information, from university selection to study planning and career development.

The session also provided an opportunity for direct interaction among students, parents, educational consultants, and representatives of Indian educational institutions. Participants raised questions and discussed various aspects of studying in India.
