PABSON Donates NPR 120 Million for Disaster Relief; Allocates NPR 20 Million for 5 Flood-Affected Schools

EDUCAST, The Private and Boarding Schools’ Organisation Nepal (PABSON) has contributed NPR 120 million (12 crore) to the Government of Nepal’s Disaster Relief Fund to support relief and rehabilitation for citizens affected by severe floods and disasters in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and surrounding districts.

According to PABSON Central President Krishna Adhikari, the fund was collected from over 6,500 member schools across the country and handed over to the government. With a history spanning around 33 years, PABSON decided to extend this support as part of its institutional duty toward the nation in times of crisis. President Adhikari noted that member schools contributed enthusiastically despite managing their regular operating expenses, staff payrolls, and tax liabilities, leading to collections that exceeded initial expectations. PABSON assured complete transparency, stating that detailed contribution records collected from district and provincial chapters are being shared with the government.

Contributing institutions will also receive appreciation certificates in coordination with the government. Additionally, PABSON General Secretary RB Katuwal stated that NPR 20 million (2 crore) has been specifically earmarked for the reconstruction and restoration of 5 severely damaged PABSON member schools in Rasuwa and Nuwakot. Any additional funds raised through midnight of Bhadra 31 will also be transferred directly to the government relief fund after setting aside the NPR 20 million. PABSON expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families of disaster victims and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
