Global Perspectives on Communication Infrastructure: A 20-Year Review

    EDUCAST, Kathmandu University organized an international symposium on two decades of normalization communication framework in Kathmandu.

    Department of Language and Mass Communication of Kathmandu University (KU) is going to organize an international symposium. In the international symposium titled ‘Generalization of Communication – Two Decades of Framework’, which will be held on May 13 at the university’s School of Arts campus, Hattiban, Lalitpur, the Chancellor of South Asian University (South Asian University) in New Delhi, India, Professor K.K. Agarwal will be the chief guest. Likewise, Yoshitaka Miike, professor of the University of Hawaii at Hilo, USA, will participate as the keynote speaker, while the opening session of the international symposium will be chaired by KU Vice-Chancellor Professor Bhola Thapa.

    In this international conference, the former vice-chancellor of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication (MCU) in India, Professor B.K. Kuthiala, MCU’s current Vice Chancellor Professor K.G. Suresh, Han Hong, Vice President of the School of Politics and Public Administration under the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Ida Bagus Putu Suamba, a professor at the Politeknik Negeri (University) in Bali, Indonesia, have been confirmed to participate as speakers.     Under the coordination of Sudhamshu Dahal, the main committee and 10 different sub-committees under it have been formed and are active. The communication framework is currently being included in the formal curriculum in many universities around the world.

     

    In addition, postgraduate and PhD level researchers are also doing more research on this. In the program, around one hundred experts, including professors, teachers, communication researchers, PhD students from home and abroad, will present working papers focusing on various aspects and dimensions of the generalization framework of communication and many aspects of communication theory. As the symposium will be held in ‘Hybrid Mode’, some presenters will present their papers through virtual means and some will present their papers through physical participation.
