EDUCAST, The British College (TBC) under the British Education Group has become the first college in Nepal to receive Positive Impact Rating (PIR). The college has achieved a historic achievement by being listed in ‘PIR 2024 Level 3: Progressive Educational Institution’.
The name of TBC has been listed by PIR, a globally recognized evaluation organization, due to the stability in the service facilities provided by the college, the social responsibility work it is performing and the leadership role it has played in the educational field.
PIR has been evaluating the institution’s stability, policies and regulations as well as the role the institution is playing towards the society. In addition, PIR is also focused on how to effectively address social challenges.
The British College’s Sustainability Unit has created a holistic educational environment through partnerships with sustainability in education, research programs and partnerships. The college has been implementing several initiatives to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its curriculum, encourage innovation and promote climate education. For example, the ‘BBA: Innovate for Impact’ program is also supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Program through the ‘Sustainable Supply Chains for the Future’ summer course in MBA.
About this achievement, the Deputy Principal of British College Dr. Patrick McCrudden said, “The achievement of the British College from the PIR rating evaluation survey is important. This rating has made it more clear what the British college education is like, and such surveys have also guided our efforts internationally.
